Campgrounds and recreation areas

Campground planning and design requires specialized knowledge and experience, considerations include: site analysis and feasibility; resource protection; camping type needs and expectations; visitor experience; visitor services; interpretation and education; concessionaire or management requirements; road, parking and vehicle circulation; wayfinding; safety; restrooms and other architecture; utility engineering; operations and maintenance, and; camp host facilities.  For over 30 years Phil Hendricks Jr. ASLA, principal and sole proprietor of FiLL P.L.L.C. has been providing the full range of title I, II and III services for campgrounds, recreation areas, visitor services and associated development for the NPS, BLM, USFS, BOR, Concessionaires and many State and County Parks agencies across the U.S. With over 30 completed campground planning and design projects include a full range of camping types (recreational vehicles;  tent;  walk-in tent; equestrian; boat;  group; yurt and camper cabins; and back-country) and camper services (visitor contact; interpretation and education; restrooms; dishwashing; cooking; dump stations; trails and recreation; laundry; showers; retail and offices and others).   

Personal and professional interests are intermingled - Phil is Landscape Architect and a lifelong tent and Recreational Vehicle camper, avid hiker and backpacker.  These personal outdoor pursuits combined with years of professional campground planning and design experience forms a unique set of qualifications and experience that is applied to each project undertaking.
