Phil Hendricks Jr. ASLA PLA

A registered landscape architect with over 36 years’ experience in project management, planning and design on a wide variety of project types and scales.  Phil’s career includes senior leadership positions within design and multidisciplinary firms including EDAW, EDAW|AECOM and Robert Peccia and Associates practicing out of Fort Collins Colorado for the length of his career, with successfully completed projects across the United States as well as internationally.  He has dedicated a large majority of his career to planning and design of public spaces including, interpretive, visitor  and education centers, historic sites, civic and cultural facilities, camps and conference centers, campuses, office and administrative facilities, and parks and recreation facilities for cities, states, and state and federal public lands.   Many of his projects have been on very environmentally and culturally sensitive sites including a wide variety of projects in 24 National Parks, National Monuments, World Heritage Sites and National Recreation Areas, as well as many National Forests and other Federal and State public lands throughout the United States.

These projects are often multidisciplinary projects encompassing the full range of project tasks from visioning, programming and conceptualization through construction administration. The projects often include design workshops and public meetings, fostering consensus with multiple agencies, stakeholders and fund-raising organizations, the public and special interest groups.  The sustainable design solutions often use local materials and construction methods, reflecting the sites character, history and context, integrating best management practices and water conserving landscapes.
